Maternity Portraits Are Important...Easy & Fun

Pregnancy is a time of excitement and anticipation, but it will be over before you know it and then you will be focused on your little bean, so don't miss the chance to "Capture the Moment!" In life we often become so focused on the result, we don't take time to honor the journey. This journey deserves to be documented.

When to Schedule Your Maternity Session...
You should schedule your session when you have a visible baby bump, but before things get to uncomfortable. I usually suggest between 32-36 weeks, unless you are carrying small, then you can push it out to 36-38 weeks. Tiny bumps need love too! If you are carrying more than one little bean in your belly, you can schedule as early as 28 weeks.

What to Expect...
Maternity sessions are so much fun and one of my favorite sessions to capture. These photography sessions range from 30-60 minutes depending on the energy level of the expectant mom. From waterfalls, parks, your home, it's all up to you. These sessions are done at the location of your choice and can include spouse/partner/children.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work...
The best photography sessions come from teamwork! The client expressing what they want from the photographer and the photographer communicating everything needed to meet that expectation. The first thing I ask "mom" is what is her theme and if she doesn't have one, I talk through some options to feel out whether this will be visually artistic session, or something more laid back with spouse/partner and siblings. I just want to deliver those shots you will forever remember.
